Don’t Forget the Balls- Aromatic Lamb Meatballs

lamb meatballs

For some reason balls often get overlooked. They’re an afterthought, what you do when you’ve exhausted all your options or in a pinch to get something done. It’s really too bad, because balls are fun and quite versatile. They taste good just about every which way. Hot, cold, smothered in sauce or all alone.

They’re fun to play with. I get lost rolling them gently in my hands and there’s something downright satisfying about taking one whole in your mouth and  savouring it’s tastes and textures.

Busting out the meat(balls) is a real crowd pleaser. Once you bring in the balls, eyes will light up, subtle moans escape from lips and hands  involuntarily reach out, begging for more.

If you’re hesitant about (meat)ball play, I think I can change your mind. So buck up, try this recipe and take one of these delicate little balls whole in your mouth. Dose them in a spicy tomato sauce or a creamy yogurt. I have a feeling you won’t be forgetting the balls anytime soon.
